This training is unique…

The training is actually two separate offerings that will join together producing the most advanced rescue and recovery training available today. Little time is spent in the classroom; the majority will be HANDS-ON TRAINING!

Fire/Rescue Responders will learn the latest rescue techniques for dealing with the big rigs along with the advantages of heavy recovery equipment. Responders will learn what heavy recovery equipment is available to them, its capabilities, and techniques they can employ to provide rapid and efficient extrication.

Heavy Recovery Operators will learn the latest techniques of rigging and mechanical advantage combined with rotator operations.

Training side by side with Fire/Rescue Responders, Tow Operators will learn how and why certain rescue and scene management techniques are used and how they can assist in these operations to save lives.

Working together will provide an efficient and safer

rescue and recovery operation for everyone!

BIG RIG RESCUE

We are proud to bring you one of the most outstanding rescue courses in the U. S. with Billy Leach, Jr. Developer for Big Rig Rescue.

This course has been featured at the International Vehicle Extrication Learning Symposium, Firehouse Expo, LA Co FD, Fire Department Instructor's Conference (FDIC), Fire Rescue Magazine's First Due Conference, American Towman Exposition, NC Extrication College, FDNY's Technical Rescue School, and many others.

Billy is the co-author of Big Rig Rescue a book detailing heavy truck anatomy and extrication.

Tuition $150.00 for Fire/Rescue Responders

(Note: The differant tuition prices is to cover the expences of each class)

Training will consist of both class room and hands-on training

Classroom training will provide information on:

Air Bag Lifting Systems

Timber Cribbing and Strut Support Operations

The 5 Step Discipline for Overturns and Underrides

Attendees will perform uncommon extrication techniques such as trunk tunneling and the “Pickup Truck Slice”.  Also, unique methods of stabilization using strut systems and “cradling” techniques will be practiced, knowing the equipment is within its Working Load Limits, thus enhancing safety for all involved.

Attendees will operate at very challenging, yet realistic scenarios featured during the hands-on session. Such scenarios include loaded cement mixers overturned on cars, loaded garbage trucks and chemical tankers overturned onto smaller vehicles.

Attendees will be challenged with the problems that the anatomy of many different big rig vehicles present. Such scenarios as the loaded cement mixer overturn onto a car will present attendees with the problems involving stabilizing odd shaped vehicles and equipment.
